Be assured…
I strongly support the effort to document Miche’s life and music. I am a grant writer for a music education foundation and would be privileged to have someone like Miche to represent… Be assured, investing in documenting his work will pay off emotional, social, and artistic dividends to womever chooses to do so for years to come. - Rob Cullivan, former music columnist for the Portland Tribune (Portland, OR) and musician
Insight into challenges & triumphs…
Miche was a multifaceted artist - a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and more…. The project has already garnered significant support, indicating our community’s desire to see Mick’s story told. The collective effort underscores the impact he had on those around him. - Katy Allen, Director, Finger Lakes Caregiver Institute at Lifespan
A film project I can’t forget…
I have funded filmmakers for most of my thirty-five-year career in the arts, first in the Division of Public Programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities and most recently as executive director of the Vermont Arts Council. I have reviewed hundreds of proposals for documentary films.
After meeting with Wendy and reviewing clips and footage from this work in progress, “Upside Down and Backwards” is a film project I can’t forget. It illuminates the struggles and accomplishments of one extraordinary musician, while at the same time offering a deep, reflective examination of a more universal challenge: how to chart an authentic life. - Karen Mittelman
